Great Plains IDEA Curricula

Enrolling
Since the programs are shared by several schools, some things you should be aware of:
- You will enroll though Michigan State University for all courses at: https://schedule.msu.edu. Login to the schedule builder tab.
- Courses taught by Michigan State University are under the course code: HDFS.
- When taking the course through another institution, the course code will be ECED for Early Care and Education, YD for Youth Development or FAM for Family Community Services.
- Click on the section number to see the start/end dates, drop dates and other information.
- For YD, FAM or ECED courses, information is found at: http://www.hsidea.org/programs/course-information/
- MSU students will follow the drop dates and other university deadlines through Michigan State University.
Oral Defense
Both MA degree programs are Plan B (non-thesis) which requires an oral defense at the end of your program.
