International Programs

International Study Tours

The Child Development Laboratories host groups of international undergraduates, graduate students and professionals throughout the year.

HDFS recently provided an academic program for a group from Chang Gung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. Students visited with area families, were instructed in the MSU Early Childhood Education philosophy and enjoyed beautiful Michigan!

Studying Abroad

Faculty and academic staff lead and support study abroad programs for students and alumni groups.

The Freshmen Seminar Abroad programs are for incoming college freshmen to engage them in various international topics in a small class setting (social science, health care, sustainability, food choices and geography), live and learn in an international setting, and expose them to the rigors of academic study and learn about college life before they arrive on campus.  Karen Mills has supported programs to New Zealand and Italy. To see more information on freshmen seminar abroad programs, please visit: http://studyabroad.isp.msu.edu/frseminar/intro.html

Dr. Adrian Blow has also led a group of alumni to South Africa for exploring and learning.
