Bio

Dr. Amanda Guinot Talbot is an assistant professor and the undergraduate program director in the department of Human Development and Family Studies. In addition to her work in the classroom and as undergraduate director Dr. Guinot Talbot also works as an undergraduate advisor. She received her master’s degree in Family Studies and PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University. Dr. Guinot Talbot’s primary research interests are family economics and financial capability across the lifespan. Her previous research has investigated work and family issues, un-and underemployment, and financial capability in older worker and emerging adult populations.  Dr. Guinot Talbot’s studies aim to contribute insight that can help increase the quality and visibility of financial education, and equip individuals with the proper tools to function successfully in the financial world.
