Bio

Dr. Adrian Blow grew up in South Africa and is Associate Professor, director of the Couple and Family Therapy program, and department Associate Chair. He obtained his PhD from Purdue University in 1999, served on the faculty at Saint Louis University for six years, and subsequently joined Michigan State in 2005. His research focuses broadly on families and trauma, military families in particular, and on change processes in interventions pertaining to marital, couple, and family therapy. He has had several recent research studies focused on risk and resiliency in military families. He has served the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in a number of capacities and was recently elected Treasurer of the Association’s Board of Directors (term is 2017-2019).
