Bio

Dr. June Youatt is Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. As Provost, Dr. Youatt is the chief academic officer responsible for the oversight of all academic activities and affairs, in guiding strategic planning and policy development, in promoting campus-wide academic initiatives, and in defining budgetary and development priorities.  Her teaching and research primarily focused on the design, development, delivery, and assessment of family-related programs in community and school settings. She served for nearly a decade as a P.I. for a Michigan Department of Education project, and for four years as a Parenting Education Specialist with Michigan State University Extension. She holds numerous awards for her teaching and outreach work. Under Provost Lou Anna K. Simon, she served as Dean of Undergraduate Education. Youatt earned her degrees at Michigan State University.
