Jennifer Davis is an Academic Specialist who has worked with infants and toddlers in a classroom setting and in home based environments. As a classroom teacher, she has implemented appropriate curriculums for infants and toddlers. Through her home based experience, she has worked with diverse families to support them in understanding child development through play-based activities. Ms. Davis believes in a strong home-school connection and finds ways to involve families in her classroom. She acknowledges the individual child and developmentally appropriate practice for toddlers. She presents at local, state, and national conferences about toddler environments and development. Ms. Davis also has been working with other HDFS faculty on the development of an infant/toddler curriculum. Her areas of interest include self-help skills, social development in toddlers, and developmentally appropriate art experiences.
