Bio

Dr. Lillian McFarlin is an Academic Specialist who has 18+ years in early childhood classrooms as a teacher, researcher and administrator. Her area of focus is the integration of curriculum to provide motivating, meaningful experiences across content areas. She is certified to teach in Early Childhood, Fine Art (grades 1-8), and Science (grades 1-8) classrooms. For her research work, Dr. McFarlin examined the links between informal science instruction and nature play in a science preschool setting. She has presented at state and national conferences in the content areas of cognitive play and differentiated instruction.
